RULES FOR THE PRESENTATION OF WORKS

El Programa científico del Evento comprende  Conferencias, Simposios, Comunicaciones orales, Mesas redondas, Posters tradicionales y electrónicos. Los trabajos podrán presentarse en los siguientes tipos de presentación:

  •   Tema Libre

  •   Póster Electrónico

  •   Conferencia

RULES FOR THE PRESENTATION OF FREE SUBJECTS

The speakers whose works are accepted to present in the free theme modality, must adhere to the specifications described below:

  1. Creation tool: Microsoft Word.

  2. The title of the work, the full names and affiliations of the authors, and their emails will appear on the first page. The title should not exceed 15 words.

  3. Only up to 6 authors will be accepted for each work. The names and affiliations of the authors (Institution, Province or City, Country), and e-mails are important to be explicit correctly, since they vill be taken for the issuance of the certificates and documentation of the event.

  4. The structured abstract will appear on the second page (no more than 250 words). On the next page, the introduction, which contains the objectives of the work, later the methodological design, results and discussion, conclusions of the work, and bibliographical references.

  5. Recommended fonts : Legible and simple; The use of ¨Arial¨ is recommended, as they are easy-to-read fonts in different resolutions.

  6. Font size : In general, a size of 12 points should be used in the texts.

  7. Ilustrations :There is no limitation regarding the size of each one, unless it can be displayed correctly.

  8. Attach the document in PDF or JPG format.

RULES FOR THE PREPARATION OF POSTERS

The speakers whose works are accepted to present in the poster format, must adhere to the apecifications described below:


Technical specifications

Creation tool:  Microsoft PowrPoint.

To create the posters, the steps detailed bellow must be followed:

  1. Start Microsoft PowerPoint. Open the ¨Setup Page¨ dialog box. To do this, click on the ¨File¨ menu and select the ¨Page Setup¨ option. If you have PowerPoint 2007, click on the ¨Design¨ tab and then on ¨Setup Page¨.

  2. In this windows, the specified dimensions of the poster will be indicated,  66cm wide  by   50cm high.

  3. Once these operations have been carried out, you can being to design the poster in the way that you consider most convenient. The entire presentation should be presented on a single slide.

  4. Only 6 authors per paper will be accepted.

  5. Recommended fonts : Legible and simple; The use of ¨Arial¨, ¨Thaoma¨, ¨Verdana¨ is recommended, as they are easy-to-read fonts in different resolutions.

  6. Font sizes : In general, a minimum size of 28 points should de used in the texts of the poster. In certain cases in which small letters must appear, their minimum size must be 24 points to ensure legibility, as long as the fonts specified above are used. For the titles, font size 36 points or higher can be used.

  7. Ilustrations : There is no limitation regarding the final size of the illustrations to be added to the poster, unless it is visible. You must ensure that any text that appears in them does not have a font size of less than 24 points since it could not be dislpayed correctly.

  8. In order to achieve maximum legibility in communicaions, it is recommended that short, clear and concise texts be entered and that paragraphs with small letters be avoided, as well as excessively strong backgrounds (if images are entered as a ¨watermark¨, these must be smoothed so that the text is legible on the theme)

  9. Attach the poster in PDF or JPG format.
